Shipping

The Great Canadian Kite Company ships via a number of reputable courier companies, including Canada Post, UPS, Fedex, Canpar and Purolator.

Shipping Costs for kites have a lot more to do with volumetric weight than net weight.

Please note: Kites/packages over 100cm in shipping length may be subject to an additional $25 over-sized surcharge depending on the carrier. You will be notified by email if the over-sized fee is applicable. (During Holiday shipping season rate will increase to $35)

Remote Areas: Shipping rates in our store are calculated on a general province basis.  Remote or poorly serviced areas may be subject to an additional shipping fee and delivery time. Some area's have limited carrier options.  You will be notified by email if extra shipping charges are required.

Delivery/ shipping times are provided as indications of typical delivery times.  These are indications only and do not constitute a guarantee.

  • Envelope - Subject to $5 minimum with no tracking number.

  • We typically ship from stock inventory. In-stock items usually ship the same business day from our warehouse. 
  • On occasion, items may be back ordered (they are enroute to us), and we will ship items as soon as available. 

Shipping Specials - from time to time we will offer shipping incentives.  These may take the form of reduced or Free Shipping.  Over-sized shipping surcharge may still be applicable to over-sized items.

Shipping Address:  Providing a complete, accurate shipping address is the buyer's responsibility.  Please note: changes to  shipping address after your parcel has shipped will incur a $15 change fee.
 
Any undeliverable items are generally returned to us.  We are happy to resend these items, but you will incur an additional cost for shipping.  If we misaddress your shipment - we will pay for return shipping.

Tracking your Kite:  You will be emailed a tracking number and link to track your packages delivery progress, if applicable.

Taxes
As we are based in Alberta, our store will automatically charge GST 5% for orders to be delivered to addresses within Canada.  We do not collect taxes on behalf of other provinces.

We don't charge Canadian Taxes on US orders.  Any duties, import fees are the buyers responsibility.
